I know the podcast is about all things Johnny Carson, but you have a true comedy legend here in Shecky Greene….Shecky was one of several folks responsible for the rise and popularity of the legendary “Lounges” of early Vegas…I would have spent a lot more time, asking Shecky about how this happened, who he admired in the Lounges etc
Thanks for your comments, Dan! Agreed Shecky Green is a comedy legend.
A great interview. Shecky knew everyone in show biz. According to wikipedia, he is 91 years old. He still has an excellent memory. Many folks of this generation are no longer around, so it is something special that you got to interview him.
Thanks, Rob! Yes, Shecky was incredible. I could have done a second episode with him. What a life, career, and talent.
