What a fascinating interview. He is very humble about his success and gracious. That is nice to hear. It was interesting to hear about his “big break” with Joan Rivers and meeting her backstage at the Comedy Store where he was so sick that he could not stand up. I was going to say that it would be nice to have a video component of the podcast, where you could show things like Howie’s Tonight Show memorabilia. But, you mentioned at the end that a video component does exist for Patreon supporters. Keep up the good work. Hopefully Doc Severinsen will agree to do the show.
This was an absolutely wonderful episode! I had no idea as to the extent of Mr. Mandel’s appreciation of Johnny Carson, and he seems like a genuinely nice guy!
Howie Mandel had a lot of great insight. Thanks for your comments, T.J.!
