So glad to find this site. I was considered for a writing position in 1983 and spent six months submitting sample packets. Unfortunately Carson was going through a divorce at the time and wasn’t in the best of moods to read it (or so I tell myself). Ray finally called and said, “Johnny says you’re not quite right for us.” But it was great to be considered.
