Hi Mark. I just listened to your interview with my friend John Davidson. I was his musical director for 3 1/2 years and what you showed in your podcast is the John Davidson I know. I kind, funny self deprecating incredibly talented humble guy. You can imagine how it was when we traveled together. Often I would have lunch with him and say, “tell me something about your days on television or in Las Vegas.”
He always had great stories. That was a wonderful era. You did a terrific job and I’m glad you could get to know John a little bit. All the best, Bill Hindin

At the end of yet another wonderful interview John Davidson certainly got it right when he complimented Mark about doing such a great interview. I’ve been slowly listening through all the Carson Podcast shows and I too am amazed and pleased that Mark does so much research beforehand, that he pleasantly surprises his guest with his show business knowledge and professionalism.

I Thoroughly enjoyed this interview and a different backstage look at the Tonight show, from the perspective of someone that has served as both as guest and a host. Mark did his research and that made for some very well-thought questions. And what a kind-hearted gentleman John Davidson is. Someone who shows a vulnerability and humanity, which makes him even MORE likable than he already was. Just a guy who success hasn’t spoiled. It’s given me a greater respect for him, and appreciation for his talent. Always liked him, but never knew what a kind, gracious and engaging man he truly is. It’s nice to hear that from someone who has enjoyed the success he has. Well done, both of you.
